Prof. Zhou is Director of  Dept. of Laboratory Medicine, Second Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University (Shanghai Changzheng Hospital)，and Research Professor, PhD Supervisor.

Prof. Zhou has been awarded as Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader, Shanghai Pujiang Talent,Outstanding Academic Leader of Shanghai Health System, Huangpu District Leading Talent of Shanghai.

As principal Investigator,  Prof. Zhou obtained 21 research grants, including National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 6 grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China. Been corresponding author,  Prof. Zhou published over 60 SCI papers, including Gut, autophagy, etc.

Prof. Zhou is also Lead Assessor of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS); is Vice Chair of Autoimmunity Branch of Chinese Society for Immunology Committee Member & Deputy Group Leader of Clinical Flow Cytometry Group, Chinese Society of Laboratory Physicians; is Vice Chair of Laboratory Medicine Branch of Shanghai Medical Association; and Vice Chair of Molecular Diagnostics Branch of Shanghai Medical Association.
